Semarang, May 21, 2025 – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Diponegoro University, through the Department of Public Administration, has carried out a community service initiative titled “Digital Transformation Based on SDGs: Optimization of Archives and Documents at BUMDes ABIMANTRANA for Sustainable Villages.” This activity was designed to equip the management team of BUMDes Pantai Karang Jahe with the ability to manage archives and documents digitally, in line with sustainable development goals, specifically SDG 8 on inclusive economic growth and decent work, and SDG 16 on peace, justice, and strong institutions.
The community service project began in March and will conclude in May 2025. The activities started with a field survey and needs assessment, followed by the development of a cloud-based digital archive system structure, training in using Google Drive and Google Docs platforms, and mentoring for the implementation of document migration along with an automatic backup mechanism. At the end of the program, the UNDIP team will evaluate the system’s effectiveness and provide improvement recommendations to ensure the sustainability of archive digitalization at BUMDes Pantai Karang Jahe.
The UNDIP community service team is led by Prof. Dr. Drs. Hardi Warsono, M.T., as the team head. The team members include Dr. Dra. Augustin Rina Herawati, M.Si., Dra. Dewi Rostyaningsih, M.Si., Nilam Adini Rakhma, M.A.P., Irfan Murtadho Yusuf, S.A.P., M.P.M., and Junjung Sahala Tua Manik, S.Sos., M.A.P. Together, they ensure the knowledge transfer and technical mentoring processes run smoothly according to academic standards and field needs.
Through this digital transformation, it is hoped that the management of BUMDes ABIMANTRANA will be able to increase administrative efficiency, speed up document access and retrieval, and strengthen transparency and accountability to partners and the community. This initiative also opens opportunities for enhancing the capacity of village human resources in managing data and information professionally.
