Semarang, September 19, 2024 – The Department of Public Administration at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) hosted a Guest Lecture event themed “Public-Private Collaboration in Policy Innovation.” This event featured four expert speakers from three different countries: Sulikah Asmorowati, S.Sos., M.Dev.St., Ph.D. (Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia), Dr. Mary Mangai (University of Pretoria, South Africa), Dr. Violeta Schubert (University of Melbourne, Australia), and Dr. A.P. Dra. Tri Yuniningsih, M.Si. from FISIP Undip. The discussion was moderated by Satria Aji Irawan, S.I.P., MPA.
The event was attended by undergraduate students from the Public Administration program and postgraduate students from the Master’s in Public Administration program. It also drew participation from lecturers who are Civil Servant Candidates (CASN) currently undergoing orientation. In addition to being a platform for knowledge sharing through guest lecturers, this event also marked the beginning of an international Joint Research project between the four universities on the issue of stunting. This collaborative research will be conducted in several locations, one of which is around Borobudur Temple, Magelang Regency.
With the participation of academics from various countries, this event is expected to strengthen academic collaboration and innovative policy practices involving both the public and private sectors. This collaboration is hoped to generate more innovative solutions to tackle various policy challenges, particularly in the health sector, such as stunting.
This event reaffirms FISIP Undip’s commitment to strengthening international networks while advancing research and policies that are relevant to social development in Indonesia.
